What congress should have done was give the bailout money back to the people. If u took 700 billion and divided it up between the number of AMERICANS with a Social Security number who makes less than 200,000 that would be alot of money so WE THE PEOPLE could afford to by NEW CARS & TRUCKS eat at fancy restaurants,by airline tickets to travel. The money would have boosted the economy 100% for several years.Everybody including retailers would have grown by the sales by WE THE PEOPLE shopping and the economy would really boom. WE THE PEOPLE could afford to pay our credit cards and buy a new house and keep from foreclosures that away the BANKS would get there money and not have crashed. whaya think forum ??
