But that was the worst part I actually succeeded in driving out on my own rustbucket. Much pounding with the bfh, and heating the hinge parts red hot.
So, grind off the heads and 'tails', and drill just deep enough to remove the female section with the door. A pry bar between the hing parts ought to bust the 'rust seal'.
