John I have to agree with you. The big three have had plenty of time to see this coming. You can't tell me they are not testing and comparing the competitions cars and yet they still carry on making crap. GM is probably the closest to making a turn around.
I drive a little Honda Fit at the moment and I have owned Honda's since 1997. No major problems whatsoever other then brakes and tires. Solid fit and finish. I drove a Dodge Neon 2004 for a couple of weeks.
What a difference between cars. The Neon was almost there, but you could feel the difference. Cheap and tinny.
There is no excuse as to why the big three can't do it since most Honda's are built in Canada, USA, and Mexico.
I am still worried about where all this is going. It's not just our car industries that are struggling, but our whole network of industry in North America.
By the way I own a 94 Dodge Ram diesel and I think it is one of the best vehicles made. Great truck.
