I started working on getting the latest addition running- 52 B2. For the third time since I have been restoring theses trucks, I have encountered an engine (230) that has stuck valves between #4 and #5 cylinders. I'm not sure which ones they are yet, but the last two were exhaust valves. So I am assuming this will be the same deal. Why do I find engines with this problem? Was this a common occurance with a 230? I haven't found the ptroblem on any of the 251's I've workred with. It seems the valves get stuck, one of them in the past was actually bent. I haven't pulled the head yet, but comperession testing shows zero on these two just as before. The rest are fine. So here we go again! Any thoughts on WHY?
