OT: diesel fuel in gas engine?

Not knowing any better, my daughter poured diesel fuel into her go-kart yesterday, and it won't start. I've never actually had to deal with this before...

Is there anything more I need to do besides drain out the diesel? The plug looks a bit fouled, and there's probably fuel in the cylinder. Will this burn out or do I need to something more drastic? Anybody have experience with this?
