Today, at the Barrington, NH Truck Show, I was looking over the display of miitary vehicles. One particular unit which interestd me was a truck pullimg a practice bomb on a bomb trailer. The bomb was painted with a resonably good coat of white paint, which made me think; Were all the thousnds of tons of bombs dropped in WWII painted? If so, what for? It seems like a disposable item like a bomb should be left bare. They're just going to blow it up ASAP, anyhow! Maybe someone should suggest a cheaper finish (if any) to Uncle Sam. When I posed the question to the ownwer of the vehicle, I think it got him thinking as well! What do you guys think, or has it been an accepted practice? Dave Maher
