My parts book shows two dowel pins needed in the plate.
And also one odd screw, 1" instead of 3/4".
Is the "oil pan front end seal plate" threaded for that screw? One screw that goes through everything, while the other screws only go through two layers?
I know there is something odd in that region. Make sure everything is sealer-ed. I'm TRYING to think, but nothin happens. It's been 30 years since I was inside of a 230.
Oil drain back hole maybe?
