I just picked up my newest toy, itsa 79 W200 Club cab Adventurer SE.It was originally sold in Colorado, ive got the factory build sheet, its only 6900 lbs GVWR,but its got a Dana 60 4500 lb front axle,360 2bbl engine,np 435 4 spd,1900 lb front springs, and 2500 lb rear springs. It seems sorta strange that the truck was spec'd with the lightest gvw but the heaviest front axle but standard front springs. If it was spec'd as a snow plow truck wouldnt it normally carry heavier gvw/spring ratings? it also seems a little odd that if it was just a work rig,why get the fancy trim, carpeting and a/c. werent most trucks built for plow duty equipped with the 727 a/t.....I know, lots of questions that nobody other than its original owner and his salesman likely know! im told that im its 3rd owner,2nd owner had it from 1985 til today, readers will be pleased to know that he replaced it with a 95 2500 4x4 CTD....
