We have A,B,C,& D, of which 2 are commercial & require the CDL. Then there are different endorsements (for air brakes, ect) for the CDL. Now I had to give up my CDL 11 years ago, so things probably have changed. Had a truck license for over 30 years though. I cried like a baby when I had to give it up.
