Vacuum advance dist.

Would there be any advantage to replacing the mech. dist. with the vacuum set up?

I have the flat top carb. with gov. and am told there are no parts avail.

I could go with the carb and dist. from another 230 that is in a one ton 2x4 that runs great. Any ideas. Thanks
