M-601 Headlight Guards

Gentlemen:
Have acquired a pair of M-601 headlight guards I want to install on my '54 C-1-PW.

Are the vertical covers on the outside of the grill bolted or clipped on? How do they come off?

I have not seen any close-up photos to help me.
