This is where we fundamentally disagree coog.
They should have that right if their product is a luxury product. In other words, one that is not required to support life.
People have no choice regarding whether or not to buy oil or gasoline. They must heat their houses and get to work somehow.
Hence, for the industry to take advantage of that situation, actively manipulate that market price of the commodities in not right and needs to be changed.
You mentioned the peanut farmer in one of your earlier posts.
Do you know that the reason the oil industry is unregulated right now is due to that same peanut farmer?
Prior to that the oil industry was regulated. Carter saw a way to fund capacity expansion by opening up the industry to private funding.
While it worked to expand capacity, it hasn't worked well for the health of the nation or competition overall in my opinion.
