Here in Georgia, the insurance companies must report electonictly to the DMV proof of insurance, you cancel insurance, the insurance company reports directly to DMV, and you get a letter from the DMV advising the right to drive has been canceled for that vehicle,. MY local agent for Cotton States ins, takes care of my daily drivers, and it's nice if I need to call him with a problem on the weekends or after hours. The antiques are insured by Grundly's , no claims with them so far.
