I have seen one of these things in operation.
As a kid in the 60`s we used to go out to a friend of the families farm, he collected all sorts of machinery.
He started this thing up a couple of times to show us kids what it could do.
The blade was about 4 foot in diameter and cut through tree trunks like a hot knife through butter.
It still rates today as the scariest piece of machinery I have ever seen.
