what is the problem going into Canada?

I recently sold a Fargo that a guy took back to Canada and he did not have any problems. So I am wondering what are the issues going into Canada. I guess you have to pay Ontario Provincial Tax...but if you have a valid title from the US, are there other issues? Does age of the vehicle matter?
