Clutch adjustment

I pulled the inspection plate last night and had the clutch pedal depressed. I could see the clutch was not frozen. However in trying to start the beast I caoud not shift gears. (I could grind them though.) It appears the clutch needs to be adjusted. Any advice how to do this? When I bought the 1955 FFPW, I had no problems. But this just cropped up over time, yet I had not run the truck. Thank you for your advice. Almost ready to put it in the garage and start on it. Dave
