Chris, there is nothing wrong with a Pintle Hook or a Receiver Draw Bar with a large ball. However, you cant beat a gooseneck. Since you are towing from just in front of the rear axle, you have great weight distribution ) Note in the picture, there is no squat on the Ram). Along with this you can Jack Knife the trailer when backing to at least 90 degrees. I can put my gooseneck where you could never get a drawbar pulled trailer. And the the Gooseneck is so much more stable on the road. Its the difference in night and day, the gooseneck follows you like a rat running in a pipe.
I dont know what T Case the 94's used. If you can fix 'properly' and that is a big if, you could always consider dropping a 6 speed NV5600 in place of the auto.
