I raced a 1977 Yamaha YZ125, 1979 YZ125, 1980 YZ125, 1980 Maico 250, and a 1981 Honda CR250. With the exception of the Maico, all were bought brand new. The only one I remember paying more than $1,000.00 for was the 1981 Honda. My first bike was an Elsinore, but it was a high-pipe Elsinore, a 1975 MT125.
Marty, I don't remember hardly anyone riding Hondas between 1978 and 1980. I held my own on my Monoshockers though. It depended upon the track whether the Suzuki guys had the edge.
Jon, I have been to the Kerr farm. Bringing a bike sounds like as much fun as mud running the trucks!
