I never miss the point, but I often have a hard time expressing it in English. What I was referring too was that the bedside I saw were behind the running boards. And ...as I mentioned...the running boards must have been modified or came from a different application, or the sides may have been trimmed as you described. Either way they could not be distinguished from stock, other than a small difference in the way the "ribs" appear in the stampings, in relationship to the correct bedsides...and of course the missing bed pockets.
