You are missing the point. If one was to try to install a stock utiline bed, the lower edge would hit the running board. (the stock running board extends in under the edge of the bed)
I had a set of these sides "converted" for Dave Horvath this summer. After the front edge is cut and bent under it is indistinguishable from stock. The addition of a center stake pocket is also an easy adddition. The wheel well is slightly offset from Utiline to Power Wagon, I cant recall which way but its not much and folks who have done this swap do not seem to mind that difference.
