Out of state or unregistered for long time, it will need an unladen weight. A light weight flat bed will get it under 5,000#, saving some bucks every year. But maybe if you can register it non-commercial, and save that? Like classic car, horseless carriage, etc? I dunno... but I didn't want the restrictions that go with those classes- only to and from club events or garages...

I got mine weighed at the closest public scale- Edco disposal. $10.
