Since I trust you guys, I can trust you guys can't I?
Anyway, I have been having problems with my old computer and the new one is sitting here on the desk with its brand new 320Gb harddrive and a clean install of windows XP but without any of the programs that I have on the old drive and don't want to go through the hassle of reinstalling by loading disks into the new machine. Heck, I'm not sure of where a lot of those disks are and I'm sure that some of them were on floppys, which the new machine doesn't have.
I know that I can install the old disk in the new machine, but how do I get the programs from the old drive to the new drive and have the operating system see them. I tried something like this a few years ago and was unsuccessful. I was able to move the programs, but the OS never recognized them.
My e-mail is jcain58@removethispart.bellsouth.net
just remember to remove the "removethis part" from the e-mail address.
Thanks.
