The Chrysler 251 in my Bombardier which is 100% stock has that type of top on the carburator. There is a matching top that bolts on to the top of the carb that transitions to flex hose that runs to an external, firewall mounted, oil bath air cleaner. Ron, if it would help you, I can take a picture tomorrow and email it to you.
