Well I Haven't been on here in a while. Carston is now 7 months old and crawling all over the house now and Melissa is having a tough time keeping up. We have taken Carston to 4 shows now, but unfortunately not in the Power Wagon as the drag link fell off in the driveway luckily, Flat left front tire and the battery is dead, not my year! I hopefully will have the Power Wagon on the road next week.
We were over at my folk's house and on the way passed by one of our neighbors and he had his 53 m-37 for sale. Last time I talked to him he told me he wouldn't sell it for love nor money. He is asking $3800 for it. The M has a new carb and runs well. The brakes need some work and there is play in the steering.
I see very little cancer as most of it is surface rust except for by the hinges on the tailgate and on a little rot under the drivers door. Truck has about 75000 miles on it and the neighbor is the second owner. He bought it surplus in California and drove it to Portland in the 1970's. He mostly used it to haul hay from his main barn his cattle in the field, but he built a larger barn closer to his fields and no longer uses it very much and has stored it inside his shop for the last 5 years.
I know the flat fender Power Wagons more than I do the M-37s, so does $3800 sound good price and what would deter me from buying this truck?
Thanks, Chris Becker
