OT stuck clutch

this weekend I helped a buddy inframe his john deere 510.the rebuild went great until he went to get in gear.The tractor sat over 2 years and the clutch is frozen.I know in this think tank somebody has something worth trying other than splitting it.Thanks for any input Wayne
