To convert tire metric tire sizes, you can do the following:
The first number is the section width of the tire in cm, divide it by 25.4 to determine the width in inches. A 265/70 would be 10.4 inches wide (265 divided by 25.4).
The second number is the percentage of the width that the sidewall height is. The 265/70 would have a 7.3 inch sidewall height (10.4 times 0.70).
So, for a 16 inch wheel, the overall height or diameter of the tire would be 7.3 + 7.3 + 16 = 30.7 inches.
