Isnt that the truth! I got a buddy that just hates to spin his cummins at higher rpms. He lugs around in OD complaining abut MPG. I keep telling him to shut it off and let the truck run and he may find it does better when loaded. He test drove a new Ram Cummins 600 with the 6 speed and didnt like it because the diesel spins a higher rpm then the auto. I tried to explain to him that he wont over rev the diesel or hurt it and that keeping it in the power range it needs when pulling is easier on everything. It hasnt helped yet!
