Actually, 1939 cabs are different, the door latch assm is higher in the jam than 40 to 47s.
Also the VCs and WC first series did not have the hole in the dash for the wiring junction.
The sill panels are differet as is the rear floor,(no hole for gas tank neck), the slant for the stay rods and the slant of the cowl are also different. also the wield nuts for the rear screen, no cowl lights, no gas can hole, WC militaries had a steel door plate, not fiber and all the WC militaries had the metal trim around the door glass, and unless somebody can come up with a factory photo, no 4wd military dodge had the windshield regulator.
As i have written before i have a VC3 and a WC1 (had a WC12) and they all had the slider.
One other thing, the true military cabs had the body number plate on top of the cowl only.
All civilian trucks had the data plate in ther door jam.
Saying that the cabs are the same is like saying that all the parts from a 1955 VW bettle are the same as a 1975 VW bettle.
