Dana 70,60,44 question

What would be the physical differences between these three axles of the 70's? For example: with my limited knowledge of technical data of the Dana, and I was looking at a truck to buy, and the owner swears the truck has "the RARE Dana 60 front end", how can I tell it's a 60 and not a 44?? Thanks for working with me here.
