I could not take the pressure with the gun to my head. I stopped all work and measured it NOW.
The maximum rod cap distance from bottom of block at full travel excursion (BDC) is 1.50"
The front of the pan is 2.250" deep
The center of the pan where it curves down is 2.50"
Running this line out to the rear of the pan 2.750"
You need that slope for the oil to drain for re-pickup.
This means that you could have a dry sump pan extending only 2.750 from the bottom of the block. Ok Norm, fire up the plasma. Now I really am going to drain all water from the sugar house before winter really hits. I want to see a working mock up by dinner tonight LOL
