The Cummins Shop Manual shows 10 Quarts for all 4B Series engines. The oil pump pickup connection is in the front right corner. It would not be a big task to make a flex connection to a welded thru port in the pan. Same for the return oil line.

Without measureing, My eye ball guess is a pan no more than 2.0" from bottom of block. I am on a run now, I have a open 4BTA on the bench. I will measure tonight with full rotation for clearnece to pan. Stand By....dont you go cutting a pan yet ha ha
