Hi Dan, we go to Canada at least once a year for a Street Rod trip of some kind. Here is what we know. When you drive up to the stop light. You are now on camera. The electronics take over and spit out all your vehicle info and your Address in the U.S.A. when you get the green light to proceed forward, you are asked what is your Address and where are you headed. Your answer should be the correct answer and even if you have a trip permit I think you will be turned away. This is repeated when you come home and you would be in a vehicle you do not own and they are never interested in your story. Both groups of custom people are very business like and take you joking, period. One of the guys I worked with was a pot smoker and had one of those caps that had a Marijuana leaf embroidered on it. The canada people asked what that was a nd he said "a Maple leaf eh?" He was detained 6 hours.
