Paul: This is definately a good option; I wonder though if there are DOT approved straps as well? New materials such as Kevlar do not stretch and are very tough, all are UV sensitive however. I know there are strap sets sold with Warn winches that must have multi-ton ratings. I agree, the load should be solid on the trailer so there is no movement between the two. Thanks for the tip on the higher rated axles with like lug patterns the same as my Dodge 3500....good thinking!
