The engine is a Cummins 4BTA (cpl 857), nv4500, np-205, 4.89's and 36 inch tires. My Carryall with the same engine/drive line gets between 25 to 30 mpg and weighs 7300. The M37 will weigh about 6400+ when complete with all the additional steel I have added, so I expect the same if not better mpg. She has all the power you could ever want.
You really should consider 4 wheel disk brakes, added suspension, power steering along with the swap. If you can do all fab work, design, welding etc, you should budget $8000. Once you have outside shops workung for you the price will sky rocket.
