wiring up and electric fan for ffpw (12 volt conversion)

I am installing an "Flexfan" electric fan in place of the original belt driven fan. The fan requires a "hot" wire to work. Can anyone give mea tip on what to do? Where would the source be and how would I wire it? Do I need a fuse? I am not by any means an expert in autoelectric things so bear with me. Thanks for any ideas
