junk it or keep it

the 315 in my power wagon is seized up solid (see my other post). I am gonna give it a week with the marvel mystery oil then consider something else. I am considering something else anyway. I hate the 2 barrel carb and one of the exhaust manifolds is now cracked. With the bellhousing I have read I can bolt in a 318 or 360. Can a chevy motor be mated to the 420 tranny? Any votes on whether to keep or scrap the frozen 315 with the stromberg 97 carb? I am just 25 years old and need some guidence on getting my baby back on the road.
