If it's working like it was designed, you should be complimenting the engineer. It probably wasn't an easy task to make that thing only function when the valve stem was installed properly. I can only guess, but I'm assuming that the engineer went through a lot of trouble to get that thing working right. It's these darn marketers these days. One guy in downtown Los Angeles gets a hangnail for one reason and decides to blame it on the valve stem. So some saftey consious hippy decides to pay out $50,000 to an engineer to design an idiot proof device. The only problem with that is that humanity will design a more advanced idiot to overcome the original idiot proof design. And the cycle continues.
