I'm getting ready to paint the cab on the '67 WM300 (Granite Gray). I don't really want to paint it gloss since it's going to be a work truck. My 1950 in buffed gloss enamel came out way too nice to use on the farm.
I am thinking of painting this one semi-gloss or satin that wouldn't show scratches so much. I also don't want to have to buff out the whole cab and fenders if I can help it.
Anyway, the guy who is helping me paint the cab is used to spraying base-coat clear coat. Is clear coat available in satin or semi gloss? Or is that a waste of time and paint? Has anyone gone this route?
Also, I would like to paint the running boards with some sort of tuff-liner type material. Who has had good results with what products?
Thanks!
