modern gas vaporizes at lower temp than the old stuff did, hence more vapor lock. do a web search for fifth avenue antique auto parts in kansas. they have a rotary vein pump in 6 or 12v, works with alcohol, ethanol or whatever because it works like an oil pump...no diaphram to go bad. low pressure so no regulator needed. it as about twice as long as an inline filter, and except for wiring, installs like one. only electric to use, if you need one. my uncle and i have about 6-7 on things now, oldest one about 12yrs, no problems.
