PW engine swap?

Hey gearheads.....
A couple days ago a guy offered me a desoto six that has very little mileage on it since a complete rebuild for next to nothing. It looks very, very similar to the good old 230 in my '59 flat fender.
My questions is: would the desoto six interface with the bell from the dodge? I know this is a long shot, but I just had to ask.....
The engine is an S7 straight six from the early 40's.
