Also to add to what Dan said,...and I don't know if ARB still sets up the switches this way, but...many trucks have lighter axles in the front than in the rear, so when you are running lockers front and rear, ARB has wired the switches so that the front locker cannot be engaged until the rear locker is first engaged. This prevents damage to the lighter duty front end or to the stub axles by keeping them from pulling more than their capacity.
I want to clarify that while I am a 110% booster of this project, I'm a little embarassed to have my name listed next to Dan. He has done all of the work on this and deserves 100% of the credit for the project. While I am more than happy to explain the advantages of the ARB locker, I do not want to take away from Dan's work or to give anyone the impression that I participated in the effort. Dan deserves the credit and your appreciation for this effort.
