Well, so far you have gotten about every answer possible. Here is what is found in the manuals. The photos are all the same through the years. They seem to show a round head screw with a flat washer between the screw head and floor plate. I have never seen a truck with this combination of hardware. What is actually called out in the various early parts books is as follows:
1946 D-11091 Attaching Standard Part - Bolt, hex-hd., S., cd-pltd., 5/16-24 x Ύ in. 120 741 (No washer mentioned)
1948 D-12004 Attaching Standard Part - Bolt, hex-hd., S., cd-pltd., 5/16-24 x Ύ in. 120 741 (No washer mentioned)
1951 D-13864 SCREW, Front Floor Plate Fastening, w/Washer (23-04-107) 1095 367
1953 D-14468 SCREW, Front Floor Plate Fastening, w/Washer 1095 367
1954 D-15078 SCREW, Front Floor Plate Fastening, w/Washer 1095 367
My WDX had 5/16-24 hex head cap screws with flat washers between the screw heads and the floor plate. I have taken apart a 1952 B-3-PW that had hex head cap screws and washers, but the threads were more like ACME threads than UNF or UNC screw threads. I dont know if these were original or not. I checked my 51 B-3-PW, but it still has the original floor mats, which I am afraid to remove. If you look to the left of the photo, you can see the head of a hex head cap screw that has worn its way through the floor mat.
