Norm, his point is to not use 90W that has EP additives like GL-3,GL-4,and GL-5. Use GL-1 90W to avoid the EP additives.

The SAE 50 is merely another source for a lubricant of the proper viscosity that does not have the EP additives.

But then, perhaps this is all completely wrong anyway.
