OT: Dodge Grand Caravan info needed...

I am looking at buying a 1999-2001 Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country, and I was wondering if anyone out there had any opinions about years, options, etc that are good or bad.

I have been warned about the trasmissions in the 1999-2000 versions, has anyone had this trouble?

Any other good or bad experiances? Leads on cheap ones? I would like to find a slightly beat up one and save some money, as I don't need a super pretty truck.
