Just be sure that you use oil and filters listed in your owners book and approved by Dodge and Cummins. You can and will void your warrantee by using unapproved filters.
My personal opinion is that synthetics are a waste of time and money. They only pay back if you run them longer than the recommended mileage and I don't care what "special lubricant" they have in them, dirty oil is dirty oil, change the recommended oil every 3,000 miles or sooner and you'll be fine.
