I'd be inclined to leave the engine in the truck, but pull the sump and do a full bearing check, then consider removing the pistons one at a time for checking and re-ringing, maybe hone the ridge at the top of the bore too.

If you have the head off you might as well cure the blowby too, and a set of rings would be a cheap investment to really cut that down.
