Just so I understand this, do you have your electric and mechanical fuel pump plumbed into the same line off of the fuel tank?
tank->electric->filter->mechanical->carb

Or do they pull seperately and feed the carburator seperately?
tank->electric->filter->carb
tank->mechanical->carb
