That wouldn't matter IF the low range matched the front ratio, but it seems that the two speed rears never match the low ratio to a single ratio. I guess that this is an artifact of the two-speed design, or was it intentional by designers?
Ie, if one could have a two-speed rear with say 5.30:1 high and 6.70:1 low, and the front axle at 6.70:1, the driver could run on the road in 2WD with 5.30:1. Then when in 4x4, put the rear in low to match the front diff ratio. But I've not yet seen the low range of a two-speed match a ratio available in the front. Anybody know of a set?
