For the last couple years, I been looking for a decent plow truck-winter work mule. When I bought the Cummins last year, I did not want to use it as a winter truck. Reasons being: it is too nose heavy and very squirly, and a snow plow would really put more weight to it, That and issues of trying to get it started when cold. I am not always in a good spot where I could plug it in....So...I have been searching for a gas truck, preferably a 3/4 or single rear wheel 1 ton with a manual trans, I really like Dana 60 front axles and really really wanted a NP205 Transfer case and something that had a throttle body injection system. I wanted something fairly clean that will last a few years, and I prefer Western Snow plows over the others. Well, My Prayers have been answered..... The other day a freind I go to Church with who owns a used car lot nearby was telling me about the truck. He knows I like Dodge stuff, so he always tells me about Mopar stuff he gets in. Well, I went and took a look at it, and this is what I found..... 1990 Dodge W-350 Single rear wheel, 360 TBI NP435 4 speed, and a NP205 transfer case, with a Dana 60 up front! and to boot a Western plow setup! I checked it over really well and took it for a spin. I really liked how it drove and stopped and everything works on it! Its a turn key truck, and just perfect for what I want....So....Yes, I did, I bought it! Its gonna hurt my finances for a while, but NO WAY could I let this one slip by me! NOw I have some other stuff on its way out to help pay this off. Good deals on stuff is still out there..... Man, how 'bout that, I buy a plow truck, and there is really only a month of winter left! Have a good weekend!
