I bought an NOS 24v flasher from VPW, and I think it's DOA. But before I call them and ask for a replacement/refund, I need to know if I'm looking at this properly.
This is a Signal Stat, 3 prong, 24V flasher. It has three connections; X (power in), L (load/turn signal switch feed) and P (pilot/blinky light on signal switch).
In my limited understanding of these mechanical flashers, there should be close to "0" Ohms from the X pin to the L pin with the flasher removed from the system right? This flasher is "open" between all three pins, no matter which combo I try (i.e. X to L, X to P, L to P, etc)
I think this flasher is dead, Jim.....
Am I looking at this correctly? The US Air Force sent me to electronics school for 6 months, so I do have a basic understanding of electron chasin' :-)
Does anyone know of another source for a 24v flasher? I'm having trouble finding one on the web.
Thanks in advance!!
